Sebastian Snyman, a photographer hailing from Cape Town and currently residing in Berlin, made the decision to move after graduating from AFDA in Cape Town, where he studied cinematography. Over the last 2.5 years, his focus has been working as a freelancer within the camera and art departments of feature films.

I'm currently focusing on real emotions. Through the age of AI and the internet, human emotions are blurred with techniques and concepts that are very far away from real experiences you could relate to. I'm focusing on capturing the beauty of being in the realm we're currently living in, trying to get people to relate to my work through their own life experiences. My style is falling towards candid, genuine, and authentic.

I'm looking to create a body of work that every artist is hoping for, which is to have a little piece of myself in my art, to create emotion, and leave a viewer with a story to hold onto with this work.
