Maya Lu is a Berlin-based stylist, born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. Maya has been working as a fashion stylist since 2018. Her approach is to bring an unexpected twist to the expected while focusing on creating a style that is neat and low-key. Maya’s cultural heritage and experiences influence her modern, sophisticated, and bold way of working in fashion.

Since I was a kid, fashion, design, and styling became my core interests. So it only made sense to decide to study fashion design, later on launching my design label. Putting forth a new character and a new side to the piece has brought me a lot of new ideas and surprises. I love to work with a variety of independent designers and bring different backgrounds, cultures, and styles together. My work is colorful and plays with the structures of the garments and accessories. I always like my style to be a little humoristic and funky.

I combine an interconnected world with a dreamy yet clear approach. Contemporary and playful parts became my aesthetic. I always wanted to create something recognizable to convey my curiosity in my work. I am passionate about a distinct, timeless aesthetic. Creating something with long-lasting beauty is my main goal and my heritage is very important to me. Therefore, bringing my Taiwanese background into a big project is one of my dreams.
