Nicole Medvecka is from Uzhhorod, Ukraine. Nicole studied at the Transcarpathian Art Institute, where she learned the basics of the compositional scheme, proportions, and pictorial principles. Then she studied cinematography at the Kyiv University of Theater, Film, and Television. Since 2015 Nicole has been living and working in Berlin. She studied at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) in the field of cinematography. Nicole is working on commercials, music videos, art projects, and films. She has extensive experience working with film: 16mm, super 16mm, and 35mm.

I am always trying to understand emotion and how the character of the protagonist is working for a particular scene or movie. I'm looking for a light set-up and camera movement, which will recreate that emotion and character along with the director's vision.

For every creative person, it's very important to observe their surroundings and how nature exists around them.
