Haneen Ajub is a makeup artist and psychologist currently based in Berlin. She started following her passion for makeup at a young age and initially worked with MAC Cosmetics for five years. I'm looking to create stories. To me, a face of makeup needs to evoke a certain emotion — it needs to make you feel something. This can be a variety of different emotions. When creating a makeup look, I always like to consider the bigger picture — the hair, the styling, the set design, and the person wearing the look. This is how we can tell cohesive fashion stories and translate our vision.

The style of my work has an anti-beauty ethos. The perfection many strive for bores me. One face-fits-all approach might work on social media but doesn’t work on real people. What I do is beauty but tailored to the person. I also love adding a weird twist or experimenting with unique textures and techniques.
