Ilanka Verhoeven is a Fashion Stylist and Creative Director working and living between New York and Amsterdam. She grew up in Rotterdam in a mixed family. The foundation that defines her today was laid from an early age as she grew up meeting people from all walks of life. Studying Lifestyle and Design at the Willem De Kooning Academy sparked her interest in fashion styling and was followed by internships at L’Officiel and ZOO Magazine.

Launching her career in Amsterdam, she started working with brands such as Women's Health, Levi's, and more. This journey led her to New York City, where she became a consultant, working between Europe and the US as the first assistant to a styling company.

My work is mainly influenced by the 80s and 90s and can be recognized for its minimalist approach and strong lines. In my creative practice, regardless of the task, I like to have a certain level of intent, bringing out the individuality of each person I work with. It adds personality to the character and makes them feel like themselves.
