Momoè Sadamatsu is a New York-based stylist of Japanese heritage. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Momoe’s passion for fashion began early and led her to explore various facets of the industry — from fashion design to retail. After relocating to New York for graduate school, she began working at a photography studio following her studies. It was there that she discovered the creative potential of styling within the world of photoshoots. Since then, she has dedicated her energy to pursuing styling as a career and has had the opportunity to connect and collaborate with a wide range of talents across the industry.

I describe my style as fluid — constantly evolving and shifting depending on the concept of each project. I believe my styling is unique because it's rooted in authenticity and isn’t confined to any one aesthetic. Similarly, in my day-to-day life, I strive to be true to myself and give myself the freedom to explore different styles as I grow and change.

As a queer Asian non-binary woman, my identity and cross-cultural experiences have shaped the way I approach styling. They’ve inspired me to challenge social conventions, particularly around how women are expected to dress, and to use fashion as a tool for expression, resistance, and transformation.

The main driving force behind my work is creating positive social change by connecting with and inspiring people. I’m drawn to creative projects that resonate with me on a personal level, often shaped by my own lived experiences. As a result, my work tends to tell stories and reflect real-life experiences of womanhood, queerness, and the Asian diaspora.
