Blair Cannon is a stylist and fashion editor from Southern California, now based in Brooklyn, New York. She fell into styling after studying fashion journalism and art history. However, her love of fashion stemmed from her younger years as a dancer, as her work is still about compositions using the human form.

Blair’s work references a mix of visual worlds, from ballet to SoCal beach culture to wearable sculpture. Her style developed during her teen years, reading old issues of i-D and discovering CDG and Margiela on Tumblr. Blair is passionate about portraying women and femmes of all sizes in a full range of lights and emotions, whether the topic may be anger, sex, or softness.

I wish to continue my exploration of the theme of the female form and keep conjuring new emotions with my images. I am most interested in using alternative materials in styling and narratives around the Asian-American and diasporic experience. For me, fashion is just one of the many elements of storytelling.
