Megan Mandeville is a freelance stylist and creative consultant living and working in London on editorial and commercial projects, alongside personal work. Academic education has never been her forte, and being confined in her hometown of Liverpool was a little daunting — venturing into the art world was much more desirable.

After college, Megan studied Fine Arts, where she discovered her interest in style, clothing, and design. Moving to Preston to study Fashion Promotion with Styling at University focused her on where she wanted to progress in her life — without knowing where it may take her. Before graduation, Megan knew London was one of the cities where she needed to be to pursue this passion.

‘Although looking over it now, I wouldn’t have changed any of the decisions I made.’

Megan interned at a fashion publication under the fashion editor position. Gradually merging into a freelance role, working with numerous stylists whom she admired. This period was a crucial stage for her; lots of pressure, challenges, and seemingly little rewards tested her career choice very often.

Her style has been influenced by many different avenues. Megan has always been drawn to expressive dressing, lots of colors, patterns, and prints, using clothing almost to tell a story. Megan explains that different and unusual pieces are objects one wouldn’t always associate with the human body as a form of dress. Megan likes to be playful and imaginative when she works on set. The model usually sets the tone, and their persona can lead to her inspiration during the process.

Megan's vision is pointed toward the rotation of vintage garments, whether from a charity shop, rental house or boot fair down to Grandparents'/parents' closets, re-working these timeless pieces and pairing them with young designers and current runway trends.
