Jiuk Kim is a photographer who was born on Jeju Island in Korea. Since childhood, she had a passion for creative activities such as drawing, but she decided to first go for the safe route and studied chemical engineering in Seoul. However, after graduating, she realised that this was not the path she wanted to take and moved to Berlin with the sole purpose of becoming a photographer. Since then, she has been developing her photography practice and continues to work in the field.

l have a big love for analog film photography, and l do development, scanning, and all post-production processes myself. In the midst of a fast-paced digital content war, I love these honest, analog processes. The slow analog process is a time capsule-like moment in which I can recreate memories. I'm happy that my style can be revealed in each photo.

I recently opened a small studio. I want to create a lot of new fun projects freely in that space. Until now, outdoor work has been the main focus, but I'm interested in indoor lighting and set design as well. I want to try a lot of new things.
