Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Santiago Perez is a freelance photographer based in Berlin, specializing in portrait and fashion assignments for various commercial clients. His portfolio includes collaborations with notable brands such as Axe, Zalando, Levi's, Unilever, Liebeskind, and Hamburger Hochbahn AG. Santiago has also worked with renowned agencies such as David, Innocean, Ogilvy & Mather, Energy BBDO, and Make Happen.

Santiago's journey in the visual arts began in Buenos Aires, where he pursued a degree in the Design of Image and Sound at the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urban Planning (FADU - University of Buenos Aires). Complementing this foundation, he also earned a degree in Filmmaking from the Center for Cinematographic Research (C.I.C.) in Buenos Aires.

I am intrigued by the non-linear narrative aspect of photography and the construction of meaning through thoughtful editing. My goal is to capture emotions that shape narratives. My photography embodies quirky movements and intimate expressions, evoking introspection. Described as subtly surreal, romantic, and idiosyncratic, my visual style aims to convey a unique perspective.

In my practice, my goal is to evoke emotion in viewers while balancing concept, aesthetic, and narrative. I follow a circular creative process that begins with an instinctual idea. I then immerse myself in dissecting and refining this concept or emotion, aiming to highlight its deeper essence. Ultimately, I return to selecting final images guided by my intuition. I aspire to discover a shared, universal meaning in what I do, thereby fostering a connection with the viewer.
