Aleksandra Rębisz, also known as Ola Rębisz, was born in Głubczyce, Poland. Ola moved to Germany with her family when she was five years old. In her teenage years, she fell in love with the medium of photography and started to follow her passion by studying photography and media at the Fachhochschule in Bielefeld in 2017, where she graduated in the summer of 2021. The topics she likes to examine in her photographs reach from fashion to culture and identity to feminism, which Ola approaches either conceptually or experimentally. Her work has been published in magazines such as C41, Blonde Magazine, Glamcult & SICKY Magazine.

Depending on the subject, my style reaches from highly conceptual to rather documentary. With each of my approaches, I'm trying to capture moments in between that have an intimate character while combining authenticity and aesthetics is the essence of my work.

I love the fact that every artistic practice is somehow always shaping and contributing to our culture. That is what I would like to do — influence the visual of our time, especially in the fashion industry, by suggesting a fresh view on beauty.
