Charlotte Helwig was born and raised in Berlin, where she lives and works. From a young age, she's been captivated by the art of image-making, from playing dress-up to building her own pinhole camera and spending hours in the community darkroom. She found her calling in fashion photography and graduated in 2022.

I work mostly with analog techniques and produce my own handprints. Each image is a product of careful consideration of colour and composition while making sure not to lose spontaneity and imperfections. Together with my team, I create intimate and playful imagery, showcasing the strength and character of my subjects.

Fashion photography, similar to art, has the power to be transformative. Together with talented creatives, I want to cherish that power and work towards a more open, kind industry that sees beyond the boundaries of common beauty ideals.
