Laura Martinova is a fashion and commercial director and photographer based in Barcelona and working internationally. Laura directs commercials, music videos, fashion films and short films for cutting edge brands, artists, magazines and agencies.

Since she was a kid, she really enjoyed watching films and taking pictures. After school, she studied Cinema and Photography at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) and FAMU (Prague). She later started her own female production company with some friends, beginning her my career as a music video and commercials director.

‘I try to be honest, this is why I love analog format the most.’

Since 2012 I worked for Vice, Metal Magazine, Etnia Barcelona, and many other agencies and clients. I combined commercial work with my love for traveling, and this is how I started to work and live abroad. Paris, London, Berlin... I also started to get more curious about fashion and personal projects - for example, short films or editorials. This is how I discovered my true self as an artist, my style, and my vision.

I see myself as a music video director and a fashion photographer, but sometimes I can be both. I love music, photography, cinema, and I think you can feel that in my work. I try to be honest, this is why I love analog format the most. My work is feminine, sensitive, and a bit magical. I like to work with natural light and props and create complex concepts with simple things.
